How do you get a job in the creative/entertainment industry??

I’ve been trying to get a job in the creative/entertainment industry for quite a while now. But all the positions require at least 3-5 years of experience. Being only a recent college graduate I do not have much “professional” experience, but I have all the skills required for the industry.

So, how do you convince an employer to take a chance on someone who does not have the experience?

Or does anyone know of any companies looking for a Digital Artist, 3D Artist, or 3D Generalist??
