should the entertainment industry be the first thing to be outlawed?

If there is truly global warming, and we are all in peril, is the entertainment industry the biggest waste of all. All of the electricity, oil, time etc. Over paid buffoons. If the world is on the brink of destruction, why is this allowed to go on?
