What were some of American families’ entertainment before television was invented?

I did a little homework and the internet game me 1831-1900 as the timeline for the invention of tv. Do you know the types of entertainment before tv existed? Some I can think of are circus shows, street shows, games, theatre, dance shows. What else?
I’m doing this for my research paper. Exclude radio because it was invented during similar time.
